KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, November 11, 2025 - Equinix, Inc. (Nasdaq: EQIX), the world’s digital infrastructure company®, marked a key construction milestone with the topping out of its second International Business Exchange™ (IBX®) data center in Johor, JH2. With an initial investment of US$201 million, the facility is expected to launch and provide 2,225 cabinets in Q3 2027, supporting Malaysia’s fast-growing economy.
Situated within the rapidly developing Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), JH2 will expand Equinix’s regional footprint and interconnection ecosystem, providing Malaysian and global enterprises with direct access to the some of the world’s most dynamic digital markets.
This milestone reflects Equinix’s continued commitment to advancing Malaysia’s digital infrastructure and enabling cross-border connectivity to drive innovation and growth across the Southeast Asian region.
